ICU Nights
Job Details:
* Night shift position in the Intensive Care Unit
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week, with 48 hours at straight time allowed
* Patient ratio of 1:2 maintained for days, nights, and weekends
* 6 weekend shifts required per schedule period
* May be floated to MS, Stepdown, PCU, ER, or CVICU with a maximum cap of 4 patients while floating
* First-time travelers welcome
* Minimum 1.5+ years of experience required
* Treats adult patient population in a 32-bed ICU unit
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, external ventricular drain (EVD), ICP monitoring, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, neuro intensive care, PICC line management, post neurosurgery management, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, suctioning (ETT, NT), titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and ventilator management
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and more
* Pending NM or compact license accepted but must be obtained prior to start
* 50-mile local radius enforced; local candidates not accepted

This facility is a well-equipped intensive care unit featuring 32 beds and robust interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, interpretation services, phlebotomy, and transportation. The unit is associated with a heart hospital and provides comprehensive critical care services to adult patients, supporting a wide range of complex diagnoses and specialized procedures.
