Job Details:

* 3x12-hour day shifts with block scheduling
* Weekend coverage required with 6 shifts per 6-week period
* Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
* 2 years of experience preferred
* Travel experience required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital, LTAC, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS*, PALS*
* Floating required based on schedule
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Special equipment: CRRT (NXXT Stage)
* Required skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVVHD/CRRT, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, infection prevention, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, phlebotomy, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, suctioning (ETT, NT), surgical intensive care unit experience, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and ventilator management
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

Facility:

This facility operates a Medical-Surgical ICU with a daily census of 14 patients across 16 beds and 12 rooms. The unit is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The facility is equipped with specialized equipment including CRRT technology and provides comprehensive critical care services to adult and geriatric patient populations.
