Job Details:

* 13 or 26 week contract options available
* Night shift: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week
* Weekend coverage required every other weekend
* Float required - may be floated to other units based on need and skill set
* Staffing ratio of 1:6 on nights
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics
* Medication system: Omnicell
* Must have at least 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
* Previous charge experience required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Travel experience required - no first-time travelers
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Active Tennessee RN license required
* Patient diagnoses include: Stroke/TIA, Seizure, Syncope, Pneumonia, Chest Pain, Dialysis, Acute Kidney Failure, Post Heart Cath, Respiratory Failure, Encephalopathy, CHF, and Sepsis
* Unit specializes in inpatient stroke and TIA patients as well as higher acuity med-surg patients
* Procedures include peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation
* Skills required include: accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tube management, colostomy/ileostomy care, continuous bladder irrigation, CVA management, feeding tube care, heparin administration, high flow nasal cannula, insulin administration, interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, cardiac drip management, telemetry and remote monitoring, wound care/wound vac, and use of rapid response/code teams

Facility:

This facility is a well-established healthcare system with a strong focus on patient experience and high-quality inpatient care. The unit operates with 30 beds and a daily census of 27 patients, supported by an interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries. The organization is committed to maintaining skilled staffing and providing comprehensive support services to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
