Opportunity:

Interventional Radiology Technologist

Job Details:

* Monday through Friday schedule with rotating day off
* Call requirements: 1 weekend per month and 1-2 days of call per week
* Two technologists on call each shift, a primary and secondary
* Must be proficient at supporting Neuro and Body Interventional Radiology procedures utilizing single and biplane radiography units
* Perform Neuro and Body procedures including Y90, TIPs, chemo embolization, UFE, PAE, trauma, stroke, carotid stent, drains, biopsies, LPs, kyphos, lines, ports, filters, peripheral stents, AV fistula declot/stenting, and PE/DVTs
* Utilize fluoro (Siemens) and ultrasound (Phillips) equipment, as well as IVUS
* Work within a facility featuring 2 biplane rooms, 2 single plane rooms, a dedicated ultrasound room, and a CT procedure room
* Document using McKesson PACS and Cerner Powerchart (Cerner experience preferred)
* Treat patients of all acuities including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Handle outpatient and inpatient procedures with a daily census of 25-30 cases per day
* Position requires frequent ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
* Rotating shifts including holidays and work during inclement weather required
* Must be available to work at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract
* Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Missouri or Compact license required to be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: ARRT R, BLS, ARRT Advanced Certification
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I experience preferred

Facility:

This healthcare facility is a designated Trauma Level I and Stroke Center offering a comprehensive Interventional Radiology department. The facility supports both outpatient and inpatient procedures across all patient acuities and age groups. The IR department is staffed by 5 Body IR physicians and 3 Neurointerventional physicians, with up to 9 IR technologists when fully staffed, and maintains a robust call system to ensure continuous patient care around the clock.
