Opportunity:
RN - ER
Job Details:
* 36 or 48 hour weekly guarantee
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Travel experience required with preference for travelers who have completed at least 3 ER contracts; candidates with 1-2 completed travel assignments will be screened
* Epic experience required (hard stop - will be redirected without Epic experience)
* Patient population: adolescents to geriatrics
* Patient ratio of 1:4 with a 59-bed ER averaging 165-175 patients per day
* Large, busy, high acuity general emergency department (non-trauma); Stroke and STEMI Certified facility
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS; SANE and TNCC preferred
* Unit systems: Epic (required), Pyxis
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Schedule includes every other weekend coverage
* Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
* RTO blackout dates: Spring Break (April 4th?12th)
* Holiday expectations: if one or two major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two
* Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
* Floating is rare but may occur within the facility and scope of practice as needed
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred

This facility is a large and busy emergency department with high acuity patients, certified for both Stroke and STEMI care. The emergency department operates with robust interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. The facility maintains strong clinical standards and conducts clinical screening to ensure candidate fit prior to manager review.
