Job Details:

* Night shift position working 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts on weekdays and weekends
* 13-week contract with possibility of extension
* Patient ratios of 1:5-7
* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
* Travel experience not required
* Unit cannot guarantee blocked schedule requests but will try to accommodate travelers
* No scrubs provided
* Charting system: Cerner (experience required)
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (must be through American Heart Association)
* WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission
* Facility will only tolerate 2-3 call offs per contract
* Skills required include but are not limited to: blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, heparin and insulin management, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, peripheral line care and management, PICC line management, tracheostomy care and management, wound care and wound vac, isolation precautions and PPE, and use of rapid response and code teams
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
* Patients served are adults with a daily census of 25-30 across a 34-bed unit

The unit operates in a fast-paced and challenging environment where nurses and clinical assistants are adaptable and well-prepared to provide care in complex situations. The team emphasizes teamwork, compassion, and evidence-based practice to ensure safe and high-quality patient care, with a strong focus on respect and professionalism.
