Opportunity:
RN - IR/Cath Lab
Job Details:
* 8-hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
* Schedule determined per unit needs with every third weekend requirement
* No holiday RTO permitted for this role
* Contract length of 13 weeks or longer with an end date through 2/27
* Minimum of 7 call days per month required; two call days per week for two weeks each month and one call weekend per month
* Additional call coverage may be required to meet departmental needs, rotated equitably among staff
* Callback time is 30 minutes for STEMIs; IR callback time is determined based on procedure type
* Call team consists of three staff members, one of whom must be an RN
* No float requirement
* Assist provider while performing diagnostic and interventional radiology and cardiology procedures
* Scrub and circulate IR/Cath Lab and cardiology procedures
* Combo lab environment (IR/Cardiology/Vascular/EP) with approximately 80-90% IR and 10% other procedure types
* Must have IR experience 90% of all cases are IR
* Expect urgent and emergent cardiology and interventional radiology procedures including STEMIs
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Patient diagnoses include vice implants: PPM and ICD
* Medication administration performed by RN only
* Required skills: Scrub, Circulate, Telemetry, accurate monitoring, carotid stenting, catheter/drain exchange, diagnostic cardiac cath lab, left and right heart catheterization, mesenteric angiogram, renal artery stent placement, stent placement, room circulator, scrub to maintain sterile field, thoracentesis, ureteral stent placement, kyphoplasties, and biopsies
* Preferred skills: EKG lead placement, EP device implants including PPM and ICD
* Special equipment includes: GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Canon and GE Labs, Angio Jet, Penumbra, EKOS, Inari, CSI Atherectomy System, Bovi System for Implanta Plasma Blade Cutter, Radiofrequency Ablation Unit, Venous Closure Unit, Sono Site, S2000 Ultrasound Unit, IABP, and Impella
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Travel experience not required; local candidates accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and ARRT or RCIS
* Preferred certifications: ARRT Advanced Cert, RCES, RCIS with medical experience
* Scrubs are provided
* Orientation is 40 to 80 hours; techs start directly on the unit on Mondays until Dimensions training is completed

This facility operates a comprehensive combination interventional lab encompassing interventional radiology, cardiology, vascular, and electrophysiology services. The lab is equipped with advanced imaging and procedural technology to support a high volume of diagnostic and interventional cases. The team is structured to handle urgent and emergent situations including STEMIs, with a dedicated on-call rotation to ensure around-the-clock patient care coverage.
