Opportunity:

Interventional Radiology Technologist

Job Details:

* Monday through Friday schedule with call requirements of 1 weekend per month and 1-2 days of call per week
* Two technologists on call each shift, serving as primary and secondary coverage
* Must be proficient in supporting Neuro and Body Interventional Radiology procedures utilizing single and biplane radiography units
* Perform outpatient and inpatient procedures for adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics across all patient acuities
* Neuro and Body procedures include: Y90, TIPs, chemo embolization, UFE, PAE, trauma, stroke, carotid stent, drains, biopsies, LPs, kyphos, lines, ports, filters, peripheral stents, AV fistula declot/stenting, and PE/DVTs
* Department utilizes Siemens fluoroscopy units and Phillips ultrasound units, as well as IVUS
* Charting systems include McKesson PACS and Cerner Powerchart (Cerner experience preferred)
* Department consists of 5 rooms: 2 biplane rooms, 2 single plane rooms, and 1 dedicated ultrasound room
* Daily census of approximately 25-30 cases per day
* Position requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* 2 years of IR experience required
* Trauma Level I experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Missouri license or Compact license required to be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: ARRT (R), BLS, ARRT Advanced Certification
* Required skills include: angioplasty, carotid angiography, carotid stenting, catheter/drain exchange, chest tube placement, dialysis graft interventions, embolization, endovascular interventions, gastrostomy tube placement, IVC filter placement, liver biopsy, nephrostomy, paracentesis, renal artery stent placement, stent placement, thoracentesis, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, TIPS, upper and lower extremity angiography, ureteral stent placement, and vertebroplasty
* Floating is mandatory; travelers must be prepared to float as needed including serving as Patient Observers
* 50% of holidays occurring during the contract are required to be worked

Facility:

This facility is a Trauma Level I and Stroke Center offering a comprehensive Interventional Radiology department equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The department supports both outpatient and inpatient procedures across all patient acuities, staffed by 5 Body IR physicians and 3 Neurointerventional physicians. When fully staffed, the IR team consists of 9 technologists, providing a collaborative and well-supported work environment.
