Job Details:

* 19-week winter coverage assignment
* Available shift times include Days: 7:00 AM?7:00 PM, 9:00 AM?9:00 PM, Mids: 10:00 AM?10:00 PM, 11:00 AM?11:00 PM, 12:00 PM?12:00 AM, 1:00 PM?1:00 AM, 2:00 PM?2:00 AM, Evenings: 3:00 PM?3:00 AM, Nights: 7:00 PM?7:00 AM
* Every other weekend rotation required, with occasional back-to-back weekends
* No on-call requirements
* No floating required
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a large volume, high acuity emergency department required
* First-time travelers will not be considered
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC
* EMR: Epic experience required
* Must be proficient in barcode scanning medication administration, managing medication drips, and blood product administration
* Triage experience required; must pass hospital's Triage Test before being permitted to triage
* Must be able to set up chest tubes and arterial lines, and assist with trauma and code cases
* Skills required include splinting, BiPAP/ventilator management, and strong understanding of ESI
* Pediatric emergency medicine experience highly preferred
* Experience with Point of Care Labs is a plus
* Patient population ranges from neonate to geriatric, including pediatric medical and trauma, stroke (administer TNK), cardiac (cath lab), behavioral health, and substance use disorder patients
* Level III trauma center managing the busiest emergency department in the state
* Patient ratios of 1:3?5 based on acuity; emergency department is set up in zones including a fast track green zone with 13 beds
* Scrub color: Any color, no logos permitted

Facility:

This 226-bed Level III non-profit community hospital operates a 34-bed emergency department seeing 200?250 patients per day, making it the busiest emergency department in the state. The facility provides comprehensive emergency services including trauma care, stroke management, cardiac services with cath lab capabilities, pediatric emergency medicine, and behavioral health support. The emergency department is organized into designated zones to efficiently manage high patient volumes and varying acuity levels.
