Job Details:
* Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
* Patient ratio of 1:5
* Every third weekend requirement (Friday and Saturday considered weekend for nights)
* Self-scheduling system
* May float to PCU and McDermott (behavioral health)
* Must pass open book exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score to continue
* First week classroom orientation followed by one 12-hour unit shift
* BLS certification required
* Navy blue scrubs required
* Must live more than 50 miles from facility
* Driver's license required for distance verification
* Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove leads to contract termination
* Cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities within past year
* Use EPIC charting system
* Care for patients with total joint replacements, COPD, diabetes, wounds, IV infusions, dementia, oncology, fractures, sepsis, pneumonia, and other medical conditions
* Administer heparin, IV antibiotics, antithrombics, and narcotic drips at set rates
* Focus on hourly rounding and bedside shift report
* Must be flexible, self-directed, and adaptable to change
