Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
* Every other weekend requirement
* Every other holiday requirement
* Patient ratio of 1:4
* Approximately 180-200 patient visits per day
* Must wear Caribbean Blue scrubs only
* Auto lunch deductions apply
* Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
* Nurses responsible for own lab draws and IV starts
* Charge nurse position available on unit
* 5+ years of experience required with at least 1 prior travel assignment
* Must have Meditech 6.15 experience
* BSN not required
* Floor-specific orientation consists of 2 shifts and must be completed during week one
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS or ASLS, CPI
* Treat patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics including trauma, CVA, orthopedic, and neuro cases
* 6-bed behavioral lockdown area staffed by psych on unit
* Support staff includes 5-6 nurse aides/paramedics per shift, security, and patient safety sitters
* 24/7 respiratory therapy dedicated to the ER manages vents until patient is admitted
* Central monitoring tech available on unit
* Pharmacy available in-department 11 hours per day and on campus 24/7

This acute care facility operates a high-volume emergency department seeing approximately 180-200 patients per day, ranging from pediatric to geriatric cases. The emergency department is supported by a robust team including dedicated respiratory therapy, 24/7 pharmacy coverage, central monitoring technicians, and security personnel. The facility serves as a CVA center and manages a wide variety of cases including trauma, orthopedic, and neurological conditions, with a specialized 6-bed behavioral health lockdown area on site.
