Job Details:

* Work shifts ranging from 8, 10, or 12 hours; most contract positions work 10-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
* Some evening hours available at times; must be flexible to work evenings if needed
* Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
* 13 or 17 week contract
* Must be strong with Open Heart, Vascular, Thoracic, General CV, and CV Hybrid cases
* Facility operates 19 surgical suites with approximately 55-60 cases per day and around 1,000 cases per month
* Full service facility performing all cases except major pediatrics and transplants; functions as a level 2 trauma center with some ortho/neuro trauma and robotics
* Call required; general on-call average is every 7th weekend with no weekday call; two specialty teams take nightly call (ortho/neuro and cardio/thoracic); travelers take specialty call only if cases are within their competency
* Call response time is 30 minutes
* Weekend coverage required approximately once per quarter
* Holidays rotate with permanent staff; must be flexible
* Scrubs are provided
* Scrubbing required: not required but preferred
* No floating required
* One week of floor-specific orientation provided
* Charting system: MEDITECH
* Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
* Georgia RN license or compact license required
* BSN not required
* Skills checklist must accurately reflect experience; if rated a 3, must be proficient
* Driver's license must be included in submission; strict 100-mile radius rule from driver's license address to facility applies
* Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks

This is a full-service acute care health system offering a comprehensive range of surgical and clinical services. The facility operates 19 surgical suites handling approximately 1,000 cases per month and provides 24/7 support services including respiratory therapy and pharmacy. The organization functions at a level 2 trauma capacity and is supported by surgeons on call around the clock, an EMR system powered by MEDITECH, and a dedicated team of certified surgical technologists.
