Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts with variable start times of 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM
* Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
* Holiday requirements of at least 2-3 shifts during winter, otherwise every other holiday during the contract
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4 during the day, higher at night after 11:00 PM, with only 2 RNs from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM
* Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
* Michigan nursing license must be in hand prior to submission
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC
* Treat an average of 40-60 patients per day with variable diagnoses including traumas, MVAs, and other acute conditions
* Work within a 14-bed emergency department with 2 trauma bays and a Fast Track area with 3 designated rooms
* Triage eligible after review and understanding of facility policies and procedures
* Floating to inpatient areas may be required to assist as needed
* Scrub color must be any solid color, clean and professional
* Must clock in and out at the facility
* All shifts are self-scheduled with manager approval; scheduling attempts to avoid back-to-back on/off shifts
* Volunteer to go home without pay in lieu of formal call or standby requirements

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a Level IV Trauma emergency department with 14 beds and 2 trauma bays, providing comprehensive emergency services to the surrounding community. The department features a dedicated Fast Track area, separate triage rooms, and access to 24/7 radiology, respiratory therapy, and phlebotomy services. ED physicians are available in-house 24/7, supported by mid-level providers, CNAs, medics, and LPNs to ensure well-rounded patient care across all shifts.
