Opportunity:

PTA - Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Details:

* Administer physical therapy treatments and modalities under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist
* Assist with restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability
* Help patients reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities
* Care for and interact with patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
* Participate in operational aspects of the department and maintain performance improvement activities
* Participate in infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational training, and fire safety programs
* Must be a graduate of a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy assistant education program
* Experience preferred but not required
* Must be licensed in good standing in Alaska as a Physical Therapist Assistant or have all appropriate FSBPT paperwork completed
* Current BLS certification required
* Guaranteed hours of 40 per week (note: orientation starts on a Tuesday so the first week of guaranteed hours may vary)
