Open Position: Mental Health Specialist - Psych - Inpatient

Job Details:

* Work in a freestanding involuntary and treatment facility serving adult behavioral health patients ages 18 and above
* Float between 2nd and 3rd floor units across 70 combined beds
* Travel MHSs will work with limited scope: data entry permitted, but no assessments, shift chart notes, or patient load
* Responsibilities include rounds, line of sight/constant observer patient observation, and kitchen duties
* Day/Evening patient to tech ratio of 1:5; Night ratio of 1:7
* EMR system: EPIC
* Scrubs in any color except tan, or business professional attire required
* Minimum 1 year of inpatient mental health or medical hospitalization experience required
* Mandatory skills: behavioral health experience, general patient care, and charting
* Required certifications and credentials: CNA or NAR, Washington State license, BLS, First Aid, and De-escalation certificate (CPI or MOAB)
* Must obtain a Food Handlers Permit prior to start date
* First-time travelers will be considered

This facility is a freestanding inpatient behavioral health organization operating across two units spanning the 2nd and 3rd floors with a combined total of 70 beds. The facility specializes in involuntary and treatment services for adult behavioral health patients and is supported by an on-call hospitalist, supervisory staff, and a receptionist. The organization utilizes EPIC as its electronic medical records system to support efficient and accurate patient care documentation.
