Open Position: RN - Mother Baby Postpartum

RN - Postpartum

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Located on 3 North, 3rd floor of the main hospital building
* 23-bed postpartum/mother-baby unit with approximately 80 staff members
* Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 9-10 RNs on the floor, and 2-3 RNs in the nursery
* Patient ratios of 3 or 4:1 (estimated, not guaranteed)
* Primary computer system is CPN with EMR Meditech
* Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage perineal care
* Educate parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding
* Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital postpartum/mother-baby experience required
* Experience in a mother-baby unit preferred
* Required certifications: BLS and NRP
* Must be flexible with scheduling and able to adapt quickly to new situations
* Compassionate, patient, and team-oriented personality preferred
* Strong communication skills with staff and providers required
