Job Details:
* 13-week assignment with an ASAP start date
* 3x12 night shift schedule; most likely straight nights, but if coverage is needed for both nights and days, schedule flips every 4 weeks
* Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period; traveler may be called off for 1 twelve-hour shift per 2-week period
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* Must be 50 miles or more from the facility (no locals accepted)
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Charge experience preferred or willingness to train as charge nurse
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced, NRP
* Epic charting experience required
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Free parking available
* May float to like units if needed
* Block scheduling not available
* All requested time off must be included at time of submission
* Traveler must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
* High-risk L&D unit featuring 10 OB Triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms
* Average daily deliveries around 7, with up to 14 patients including inductions and high-risk antepartum cases
* OB Triage averages 4-5 third trimester testing patients plus an influx of triage patients daily
* Special procedures include cervical cerclage, cesarean section, hysterectomy, and D&C
* Key skills required include labor & delivery, high-risk antepartum, neonatal resuscitation, magnesium sulfate therapy, pitocin/oxytocin administration, epidural anesthesia support, external and internal fetal monitoring, postpartum hemorrhage management, and triage of obstetrical patients
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
* Alaska RN license required; pending license accepted but must be in hand for auto offer
* Must be able to complete Alaska RN license application within 48 hours of signing, including fingerprint submission, application fee, and license application submittal
* 2 professional references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years, completed during compliance process and prior to start
