Opportunity:

PERM PLACEMENT - Electroneurodiagnostic (EEG) Technologist

Job Details:

* 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
* Guaranteed hours per week: 32-40 (GSA not guaranteed during orientation week or holidays when unit is closed)
* Rotating on-call coverage every 4 weeks covering Friday 4:00 PM through Monday 7:30 AM
* Weekend and holiday requirements as needed due to call
* No float requirements
* Prepare patients and perform Electroencephalograms (EEGs) as ordered by a physician
* Perform and/or assist physician with EEG procedures including sleep-deprived EEGs, routine EEGs, daytime long-term monitoring, and consults for hospitalized patients
* Obtain thorough patient histories and provide patient education and comfort during testing procedures
* Work with multidisciplinary healthcare team to facilitate services, provide consultation and education, and generate accurate reports for physicians
* Responsible for pattern recognition, medical and pharmacological condition knowledge, and electrical safety
* Maintain accurate department documentation and archive patient testing materials
* Achieve and maintain competency of ABRET accreditation education standards
* Serve patient populations across all age groups including infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
* Minimum 6 months experience as an Electroneurodiagnostic Technician or Electrodiagnostic Technician required
* Required certifications: Registered Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist (REEGT) required within 2.5 years of hire date and AHA BLS
* Education: Graduate of an Electroneurodiagnostic or Polysomnographic program accredited by CAAHEP, or Approved ABRET EEG Exam Practice Pathway Track, or Associate Degree Track; Bachelor's Degree preferred
* Epic charting experience preferred
* Scrub color: Any color except those specific to a designated work group such as Nursing or Medical Assistants
