Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

* Work in a 16-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
* Patient ratios of 1:2, with 1:1 for certain device patients
* Schedule requires 2 weekends per month, 1 summer holiday, and 2 winter holidays
* Float as needed, typically to other ICUs but may include other floors
* Strong critical care experience including CVICU experience required
* Skills with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring required
* Preferred experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT
* Provide care to immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients including ECMO, Centrimags, and HM3 LVADs
* Perform central line insertion, swan insertion, intubations, and other procedures on unit
* Use Phillips bedside telemetry monitors, Hill-Rom beds, and Alaris IV pumps
* Document using Meditech system
* Scrubs required in black, red, or galaxy blue; scrub jackets/vests only
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS

This facility is an HCA Unit of Distinction Award Winner and Daisy Award Recipient, reflecting its commitment to excellence in patient care. The CVICU features 5 full-time surgeons performing high-volume and advanced cardiac surgeries, with an intensivist assigned to the unit 24/7. The unit is supported by a free-floating charge nurse, unit secretary, and Administrative Care Tech available Monday through Friday, along with Student Nurse Externs on variable shifts to assist nursing staff.
