Opportunity:

RN - Neuro ICU

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* No call requirements
* Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
* Experience caring for Neuro Trauma and post Neuro-surgery patients required
* Preferred experience caring for post Alteplase and/or post Thrombectomy patients
* Preferred experience caring for post neurosurgical patients with external ventricular drains
* Prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment required
* Nevada RN license required prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Provide multidisciplinary care to Neuro ICU patients including ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, neurologic tumors, and seizure
* Care for general Medical ICU patients including DKA, sepsis, and respiratory conditions
* May be required to float to other areas of the organization up to competency level
* May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period
* Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
* Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Eve and Day count as 1 holiday)

Facility:

This facility is an extremely busy and fast-paced Level II Trauma Center serving a 500-mile radius with stroke accreditation and 800 inpatient beds. The volume and pace are comparable to that of a Level I trauma center, treating over 80,000 emergency and trauma patients annually. The facility is home to the region's only children's hospital, a leading robotic surgery institute, groundbreaking brain and nerve care, and comprehensive heart and cancer services. The Neuro ICU is an 18-bed Beacon Designated Intensive Care Unit providing multidisciplinary patient-centered care with a focus on clinical excellence and exceptional customer service.
