Opportunity:

RN - OB/Labor & Delivery

Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts with self-scheduling on a rotational basis, reviewed and approved by scheduling committee
* Will work every third weekend
* Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery required
* Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), and NRP
* 1 RN in the OB department at a time; an additional RN will be allocated if a second patient arrives
* Will attend C-sections as needed and will be responsible for the mother; Provider, CRNA, Surgical Tech, and OR RN will also assist with C-sections
* Will float to the Patient Care Unit (Med Surg) when there are no patients in the OB department
* OB department has 2 suites and performs approximately 80 deliveries per year; mother and baby stay together in the room
* Surgical suite on the first floor is used for C-sections
* Equipment used includes Hugs Infant Tags for security, Philips for ultrasound equipment, and OB Trace View for documentation
* Dress code: Navy Blue scrubs
* Reliable personal transportation required as the area does not have rideshare services

This facility operates a dedicated Obstetrics department featuring 2 labor and delivery suites with a mother-baby rooming-in model. The facility supports a full range of obstetric services, including C-sections performed in an on-site surgical suite, and utilizes modern equipment to support patient care and documentation. The organization maintains a structured onboarding process, including classroom orientation and hands-on preceptor shifts to ensure staff are well-prepared for their roles.
