Open Position: RN - PCU

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2190.56

Opportunity:

RN - Medical Surgical / Step-Down

Job Details:

* Work on an inpatient overflow unit with mixed levels of care including medical surgical and step-down patients
* Short stay patients with 24-hour length of stay are targeted to this unit with quick turnover
* Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 stretch dependent on level of care
* Day and night shifts available with staffing consisting of 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 CNAs per shift
* Every other weekend required, no on-call required
* Telemetry competency required - all patients hardwired to bedside monitor if telemetry monitoring is indicated
* Progressive care experience required
* Recent progressive care experience preferred
* Must have a positive attitude, be patient experience focused, kind, compassionate, and work well as part of a team
* Work with Cerner EMR system
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
* Dress code: Navy and/or white top, navy bottom, all white attire
* Travelers may be required to float to other units as needed

This healthcare facility is a main campus location housing a 20-bed inpatient unit on the second floor. The unit operates around the clock with consistent staffing ratios and supports a mixed patient population requiring medical surgical and step-down level care. The facility utilizes modern telemetry equipment with bedside monitoring capabilities and maintains a strong focus on patient experience and quality care delivery.
