Opportunity:
Speech Language Pathologist
Job Details:
* Evaluate speech, language, and swallowing abilities of patients with impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function resulting from premature birth, birth injuries, injury, disease, or other causes
* Synthesize patient data to establish a plan of care through evidence-based practice interventions and goals appropriate to the patient's age and development
* Interact and collaborate with a variety of professionals to implement and assess intervention programs
* Float between NICU, Pediatric, and Adult units as needed
* Work with EMR systems Meditech Magic and Meditech Expanse
* Neonatal experience required - candidates without this skill will not be considered
* Modified Barium Swallow Study experience required - candidates without this skill will not be considered
* Pediatric experience preferred
* Adult experience preferred
* Must demonstrate high-functioning capabilities, strong self-motivation, and a proactive approach to all assigned responsibilities
* Must consistently demonstrate initiative, independence, and ability to provide timely and quality patient care
* No weekends or on-call requirements
* Dress code: Dark blue scrubs; bare below the elbows in the NICU
* Required certifications: Current Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA and current Texas State License in Speech-Language Pathology

Operating with 381 beds, the facility provides a dynamic clinical environment supporting neonatal, pediatric, and adult patient populations. The speech-language pathology team works across multiple floors and buildings, collaborating with interdisciplinary professionals to deliver evidence-based patient care.
