Job Details:

* Work evening shifts from 3:30 PM to 11:00 PM
* Department focuses on cardiac and stroke patients in a 41-bed telemetry unit
* Every other weekend requirement, with weekends defined as Saturday and Sunday
* May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
* No on-call or standby requirements
* First to float when needed
* Schedule is typically made 4 to 6 weeks in advance; travelers should remain flexible to help fill gaps in permanent staff
* Block scheduling is not guaranteed
* Job duties include patient care, ADLs, blood sugar checks, vitals, and additional patient care tasks
* 3 to 4 nurse aides per shift with no specific ratios
* Telemetry monitors are present on the unit with monitor techs available
* Charting system: Allscripts
* Scrub color: Maroon Red
* Unit-specific orientation includes 2 days of classroom orientation and 1 day with a preceptor
* Must have prior telemetry experience
* Required certifications: BLS and Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) via NHA
