Opportunity:

PCT - PCU

Job Details:

* Work in a 36-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
* Schedule is made 4 weeks in advance
* Minimum every other weekend requirement
* May be asked to participate in Holiday Rotation
* No on-call or standby requirement
* Perform patient care duties including vitals, A.M./P.M. care, restocking, running errands, EKGs, outputs, bladder scanning, and blood glucose monitoring
* Work alongside typical staffing of 5 PCTs per shift
* Utilize Allscripts charting system
* Work with centralized telemetry monitoring operating 24/7
* Common patient diagnoses include post-ICU, post-shock, post-stroke, pneumonia, CHF, post-cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, and infectious disease cases
* Required scrub color: Maroon Red
* Cancellation policy: 3 shifts per 13 weeks
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT) via NHA/AAH
* BSN not required
* Valid nursing license required for submission
