Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM (1830-0700)
* Cyclic scheduling with every other weekend requirement
* Holiday requirements: 1 major holiday and 1 minor holiday
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 with nurse aides/patient care techs at 1:10 ratio
* 22-bed stepdown unit with a fast-paced environment including many admits and discharges
* Common diagnoses include heart failure, Afib, respiratory distress, and stroke
* RNs required to titrate drips including Cardizem, amiodarone, and nitroglycerin
* RNs required to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
* CPAP equipment management required
* Charge nurse on each shift takes a full patient assignment
* May float to ICU if appropriate experience is present
* 1 orientation shift of 12 hours in the department
* Charting system: EPIC
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
* Driver's license required at time of submittal
* Candidates must not be employed full time, part time, or PRN with any associated CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
