Emergency Nurse

Job Details:

* Full-time variable schedule working both night and day shifts
* Work in the Emergency Department providing patient and family-centered care
* Deliver developmentally appropriate, culturally sensitive, and evidence-based nursing care
* Communicate and advocate for patient values, preferences, and needs as part of interdisciplinary care planning
* Apply communication practices that minimize risks across transitions of care
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in shared decision-making
* Participate in quality improvement activities including Root Cause Analyses, Apparent Cause Analyses, and Interdisciplinary Meetings
* Utilize outcome data at the patient level to make care decisions
* Navigate and document in the EMR to support patient care
* Communicate observations or concerns related to unsafe situations posing risks to patients, families, or the healthcare team
* Participate in shared governance activities and professional development opportunities
* Precept and educate orientees, peers, and students as a clinical resource
* Active RN license required
* Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience
* BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association required with at least 3 months remaining before expiration
