Opportunity:
Radiology Specialist Assistant
Job Details:
* Work day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
* Provide patient care services within scope of practice under physician supervision
* Deliver age-appropriate care across the lifespan in an Interventional Radiology setting
* Perform patient assessments using age-specific growth and development principles
* Assist supervising physician with radiologic procedures and patient management
* Maintain patient flow and organize clinical workload effectively
* Provide guidance and direction to clinical staff involved in patient care
* Respond appropriately to emergency situations
* Perform fluoroscopic procedures including barium studies such as upper GI series, small bowel follow-through, and enemas
* Perform joint injections under fluoroscopic or ultrasound guidance
* Conduct paracentesis and thoracentesis procedures including patient preparation, imaging guidance, and post-procedure monitoring
* Place abscess drains using ultrasound or CT guidance, ensuring sterile technique and accurate positioning
* Perform bone marrow biopsies including site preparation and specimen collection
* Perform biopsies with ultrasound and CT guidance for various tissues and organs
* Ensure compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, hospital policies, and regulatory standards
* Maintain confidentiality of protected health information (PHI)
* Must reside or be willing to work within a 100-mile radius of the facility
