Opportunity:

Nuclear Med Tech

Job Details:

* Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
* Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine program required - education verification required
* CNMT or ARRT(N) certification required
* AHA BLS certification required
* Perform nuclear medicine procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation
* Prepare patients for procedures ensuring all requirements are met prior to examination
* Provide patient instruction to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety
* Apply principles of nuclear medicine safety to minimize risk to patient, self, and others
* Operate nuclear medicine equipment and associated equipment to achieve desired results
* Position patients and equipment to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest while respecting patient ability, safety, and comfort
* Immobilize patients as required for appropriate examination
* Select appropriate parameters with consideration given to established protocols and data acquisition factors
* Perform venipuncture, start and maintain venous access
* Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes, ensuring correct isotope and dose is used
* Evaluate images and data for technical quality
* Report and document nuclear medicine safety incidents and adverse events per protocol
* Manipulate and process digital data for display, ensuring proper identification is evident
* Utilize radiology information systems including PACS, complete all required records and reports, archive and submit images for physician review and interpretation
* Document all information pertinent to nuclear medicine procedures in the electronic medical record including medication reconciliation
* Ensure patients receive discharge information regarding their exam
* Order radiopharmaceuticals through vendor-specific protocol
* Assist PET services as needed
