Opportunity:

RN - Maternal Infant Unit

Job Details:

* Work in a 24-bed Maternal Infant Unit performing vaginal deliveries, C-sections, antepartum patient care, and newborn and post-partum care
* Patient ratios: Labor 1:1, post-partum 5-6:1, nursery 5-6:1
* Work with GE fetal monitors and EMR systems including Meditech and CPN
* Day shift staff includes labor nurses, nursery nurses, OB techs, secretary, leadership, and educator
* Night shift staff includes labor nurses, nursery nurses, OB techs, and secretary
* Every third weekend required with 12 hours of on-call per 4-week schedule
* Minimum 2 years of labor experience required
* Preferred: 2+ years of labor experience with history working in an LDRP with high birth volumes
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification
* Dress code: Navy blue scrubs; MIU nurses wear pink badges for infant security

This facility's Maternal Infant Unit is located on the 3rd floor of the Atrium building and consists of 24 beds supported by a team of 71 staff members. The unit provides comprehensive maternal and infant care services including labor and delivery, post-partum care, nursery services, and antepartum patient management. The facility maintains modern equipment and technology to support high-quality patient outcomes across all aspects of maternal and infant care.
