Opportunity:

Ultrasound Technologist

Job Details:

* Monday through Thursday schedule
* Day shift staffing includes 4 sonographers plus supervisor
* Patient ratio of 8 to 10 patients per 8-hour shift
* Work in a 4-room ultrasound department serving a patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric
* Operate Siemens Acuson S200 and GE Logiq E10 ultrasound equipment
* Use Allscripts EMR and InteleRad PACS systems
* Perform procedures including thoracentesis, paracentesis, FNAs (thyroid, parotid, lymph nodes), soft tissue mass biopsies, liver and renal biopsies, drainages (abscesses, cysts, hematomas, gallbladders), and thrombin injections
* OR procedures include breast needle placements, carotids, D&Cs, and prostate biopsies
* At least 1 year of experience with broad exposure to various ultrasound types required
* Clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting with exposure to general, vascular, and OB-GYN sonography required
* Knowledge of anatomy and pathology with ability to recognize normal from abnormal findings required
* Basic scanning skills with understanding of sonographic physics and techniques required
* Additional certifications (RVT, OB-GYN, AB) preferred
* OR experience and experience with ultrasound procedures preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, RDMS, NH MIRT Licensure - NH license certification must be in hand prior to submission
* Scrub attire: any color professional, clean appearing scrubs or radiology themed t-shirts
* No on-call responsibilities; weekends covered by weekend position staff
* Opportunities for extra shifts within the department; breast ultrasound opportunities may be available
