Opportunity:

RN - NICU

Job Details:

* Work in a 42-bed Neonatal ICU with a team of 70 staff members
* Day and night shifts available with 1 charge nurse, 10-15 RNs, and 1 PCT per shift
* Patient ratios: Level 3 - 1 to 3 patients per nurse depending on acuity; Level 2 - 3 to 4 patients per nurse
* Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per schedule required
* Occasional on-call responsibilities
* Work with equipment including isolettes, OMNI beds, phototherapy units, and computers
* EMR systems used: Meditech and CPN
* Perform IV starts and assist with PICC insertions (trained clinicians only)
* Work with central lines including UAC, UVC, Broviacs, and PICC lines preferred
* Float to newborn nursery as needed
* Required certifications: RN licensure and NRP
* STABLE certification preferred
* Experience with central lines preferred
* Dress code: Royal blue scrubs required; no artificial nails allowed (acrylic, gels, dips, or overlays); nails must be natural
* Resource staff will be available on the unit

The Neonatal ICU is housed in the Central Tower and supports both Level 2 and Level 3 NICU patients, providing a dynamic and high-acuity clinical environment. The unit is well-staffed and equipped with modern technology to support the care of critically ill and premature newborns.
