Opportunity:

RN - CCU

Job Details:

* Three 12-hour shifts per week required
* Work in an 8-bed Critical Care Unit with a 2:1 patient ratio, sometimes 3:1 depending on staffing and acuity
* Care for adult patients only with diagnoses including DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, and post heart cath cases
* Required skills include knowledge of ventilators, drips (sedation, vasoactive, etc.), and care of CVC lines
* Procedures performed on unit include bronchoscopy, placement of CVC lines, placement of chest tubes, and sometimes bedside scopes (EGD, colonoscopy, PEG tube placement, and trach placement)
* Documentation system: MedHost
* Equipment used: Mindray Datascope
* Monitor Tech support available on unit
* May be required to float to other units
* Dress code per facility policy
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI
* Advanced skills required: ACLS

This facility is a community-based medical center housing a small but well-established 8-bed Critical Care Unit. The unit serves a diverse adult patient population across a broad range of critical care diagnoses and is supported by an experienced nursing staff, many of whom have been with the unit for five or more years. The facility places a strong emphasis on delivering quality nursing care and fostering a close-knit, community-centered environment.
