Open Position: RN - Med Surg Neuro

Opportunity:

RN - Neuro Med/Surg

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
* 2 weekends (4 shifts) required per 4-week schedule
* Patient ratio of 6:1
* Unit has 20 beds on the Neuro Med/Surg floor
* Tech support available on both day and night shifts
* Unit secretary available from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Document using Meditech system
* Work with equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, and iMobile communication technology
* Med/Surg experience required with ability to prioritize care and multitask
* Must be able to start IVs, perform basic wound care, and maintain surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
* Active RN license and BLS certification required
* Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) required
* Contract labor is first to float with rotation when multiple contract staff are scheduled
* Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care, conduct bedside shift reports, and include patients and family members in their plan of care

The Neuro Med/Surg unit operates with a strong support structure including tech support on both day and night shifts, ensuring staff have the resources needed to deliver high-quality patient care.
