Opportunity:

RN - Inpatient Rehab Unit (IPR)

Job Details:

* AM shift schedule with rotating weekends
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* 13-week assignment length
* Patient ratio of 5-6:1 on an 18-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit
* Work alongside RNs and PCTs in a collaborative staffing environment
* Perform procedures including indwelling and straight urinary catheterization, peripheral IV insertions, blood administration, central line dressing changes, wound dressing changes, surgical drain removal, and suture/staple removal
* Care for patients in neurological, cardiac, and/or orthopedic adult populations
* Willingness to learn specialty patient mobilization skills required
* Willingness to learn and complete rehabilitation-specific documentation using real-time training resources required
* Good attention to detail and willingness to be coached regarding rehabilitation documentation required
* Prefer 2 years of experience in inpatient hospital setting including medical-surgical, stepdown, critical care, or inpatient rehabilitation nursing
* Prior acute rehab experience preferred
* Experience with inpatient (acute) rehabilitation or long-term acute care (LTACH) nursing a plus
* Documentation system: Meditech
* Float to medical-surgical units in rotation with unit staff as needed
* Required certification: BLS
* Scrub color: Royal Blue tops and pants in good condition with no fading or other facility logos
* Scrub caps must be free of logos including sports teams, colleges, and corporate logos
* No artificial nails, gel, or next gen nails permitted
* Hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors; beards, mustaches, and sideburns must be neatly trimmed
* Body art must be covered whenever possible
* Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited, including nose rings and tongue rings
* Must compliantly wear facility-issued PPE including N95s and face shields

This facility is a full-service acute care hospital featuring a dedicated 18-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit specializing in neurological, cardiac, and orthopedic patient populations. The unit operates with a collaborative team of RNs and PCTs and utilizes Meditech for documentation.
