Opportunity:

Outpatient PTA

Job Details:

* Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
* No weekend rotation required
* No on-call responsibilities
* Department closes on 6 major holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
* See an average of 8-10 patients per day
* 60-minute bookings for evaluations and treatments with single patient care practice
* Treat primarily adult and school-aged patients including post-ortho, post-spinal surgery, geriatric, work injury, and neurological imbalance cases
* Will not perform initial evaluations
* Provide manual therapy, exercise science guidance, and patient education including adaptive equipment such as walkers, canes, and crutches
* Primarily outpatient setting with rare possibility of inpatient coverage in the same building
* Department currently staffed with 3 PTs with virtual PTA support and on-site supervisor available on weekdays
* EMR system: Cerner
* Orientation includes NEO and 2-3 days of department skills training dependent on skillset and comfort level
* Minimum 1 year of outpatient PT experience required
* Required licensure and certifications: Maine State Licensure, BLS, Associate PTA or above
* Dress code: Business casual or scrubs (any color, professional)

This outpatient physical therapy facility is located within a hospital setting, offering a comprehensive rehabilitation environment. The department provides specialized outpatient PT services while also maintaining the capacity to support occasional inpatient needs including ED consults and day surgery patients. The facility is well-staffed with experienced physical therapists and provides strong departmental support to ensure quality patient care.
