Sterile Processing Tech

Job Details:

* 5x8 day shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
* 13-week assignment
* Guaranteed 72 hours per 2-week period; traveler may be called off for 1 shift per 2-week period
* Weekend shifts required on a rotating basis
* No on-call required
* May float to Pacific Campus
* Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience required
* First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience
* Locals not accepted
* Required certifications: CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA
* Epic charting system experience preferred; no documentation in Epic required for SPT travelers all documentation is completed in SPM instrumentation management systems; training learning module must be completed
* Scrub color: Any (no reddish orange permitted)
* Parking is facility paid
* Department specializes in Neuro, Ortho, robotics, and some pediatrics, as well as standard service lines including urology, general, and GYN
* Average surgical case volume of 65 and average daily tray volume of 1,200
* Candidates must have supply knowledge, ability to pick cases, be self-motivated, and work well as a team player
* Preferred experience: Children's Hospital setting, trauma and implants, and experience with pure processing sink inserts/flexi pumps
* 3-day orientation on day shift: Day 1 from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; Days 2 and 3 from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM; Day 4 transition to contracted shift
* 2 professional references required covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years, completed during compliance process prior to start

This facility is a Level II Trauma Center with a total of 571 staffed beds across two campuses, offering a broad range of services including outpatient, interventional radiology, emergency, and inpatient care. The sterile processing department is a highly motivated, teaching-focused department that places quality as its highest priority and supports a wide variety of surgical specialties.
