Opportunity:

Radiologic Technologist

Job Details:

* Perform quality and efficient radiologic procedures for diagnostic interpretation
* Demonstrate advanced knowledge of imaging procedures in at least two modalities
* Practice radiation safety and adhere to ALARA standards
* Perform quality control in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations
* Operate imaging equipment consistent with manufacturer's recommendations
* Perform all exams based on Imaging Department Protocols or coordinate with Radiologist
* Notify Radiologist of all STAT or emergent cases and provide ordering physician contact information
* Obtain appropriate informed consents when required
* Perform and document medical history as it relates to the patient and procedure
* Verify exam orders and identify patients through two means of identification
* Assist or rotate to other imaging modalities when required and within scope of licensure
* Assist with clerical duties and patient transportation when required
* Responsible for ordering, stocking, and maintaining supply inventory
* Troubleshoot equipment problems and contact service engineer when needed
* Must be registered in at least two modalities
* Assist with taking call, working holidays, and/or weekends
* Work overtime as directed and take call as required
* Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
* Required registries (must have 2): ARRT registration in Radiology (R), Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR), Mammography (M), Nuclear Medicine Technology (N), Sonography (S), ARDMS registration in RDMS, RVT, RDCS, RMSKS, or NMTCB
* Current BLS certification required (must be obtained within 90 days if not current)
* Minimum 2 years of prior experience as a practicing Technologist preferred
* General knowledge of Microsoft Office products required
* Ability to work with electronic records including PACS and RIS/HIS required
* Cross-training into additional modalities including CT, MRI, DEXA, and Mammography encouraged
