Opportunity:

Sonographer - General

Job Details:

* 40-hour shift work with on-call responsibilities when appropriate
* Floating to other units and departments as needed
* Personal scrubs and healthcare professional attire required
* Must be competent to proficient in abdominal sonography including aorta, IVC, liver/biliary, pancreas, spleen, and renal imaging for both normal and pathological cases
* Must be competent to proficient in GYN sonography including breast, ovaries, adnexa, uterus, and pelvis for pathology and normal cases, post-menopausal, transvaginal, and adult and pediatric patients
* Must be competent to proficient in OB sonography including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester, amniocentesis, complications, biophysical profile, gestational age, placental grading, abnormalities, IGUR, and uterus/adnexa
* Must be competent to proficient in procedures including aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and intraoperative
* Must be competent to proficient in neonatal sonography including congenital anomalies and neonatal head
* Must be competent to proficient in superficial structures including abdominal wall, breast, focal masses, hematoma, scrotum/testes, and thyroid
* Must be competent to proficient in vascular sonography including carotid duplex, segmental pressure studies, and upper and lower extremity venous and arterial duplex
* Equipment utilized includes Canon i700, Meditech EMR, and Fuji Synapse PACS
* Minimum 3 years of experience in an acute hospital setting required
* Minimum 3 years of experience as a full-time sonographer required
* One contract or more of travel experience required
* Required certifications: ARDMS (AB)(OB)(RVT) and active AHA-certified BLS
* No time off requests will be granted in the first 13 weeks of contract
