Job Details:

* Work 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with call responsibilities
* Weeknight call begins at 3:30 PM until 7:00 AM the following morning, typically 4 weeknights per month and may increase if staffing decreases
* Weekend call typically consists of 1 full weekend per month from 7:00 AM Saturday through 7:00 AM Monday
* Must remain within 30 minutes of the hospital at all times while on call
* Contract must extend through the holidays into January
* Faster paced environment with a heavy focus on orthopedics, sports medicine, and robotics
* Common cases include orthopedic total joints, sports medicine, hands and trauma, general surgery, gynecology, C-sections, and endoscopy
* OR team covers endoscopy and all OR personnel are required to assist with cleaning and turning over operating rooms
* 4 operating suites plus 1 endoscopy suite with an average of 8 cases per day
* Charting system: Epic; TDOC used for instrument tracking and ProVation used for endoscopy
* 5 days of unit-specific orientation provided with a dedicated preceptor
* Scrubbing by RNs is not required
* Blue scrubs provided per surgical services attire policy; OR shoes required
* Minimum 3 years of OR experience required with a strong orthopedic background
* Endoscopy experience required
* Previous travel experience required
* Required certifications: BLS; ACLS recommended
* BSN not required
* Active state nursing license required
