Opportunity:

Echo Sonographer

Job Details:

* Full-time position requiring 40 hours per week
* Work within the Cardiology department at the main campus under the supervision of Practice Providers, Cardiology Director, Lead Echo Tech, and Practice Manager
* Prepare patients and diagnostic equipment for imaging procedures
* Explain procedures to patients and answer any questions they may have
* Obtain high quality imaging and assist physicians in interpreting diagnostic data
* Ensure proper record keeping and maintain patient care documentation
* Demonstrate clinical competence in all modalities within echocardiography to provide accurate diagnostic information
* Must be proficient in all imaging modalities of Adult Echocardiography including Transthoracic Echo, Stress Echo, and Transesophageal Echo (TEE)
* Organize exam rooms, set up for procedures, assist with general cleaning and office upkeep
* Assist with quality monitoring, record keeping, and inventory of equipment and supplies
* Collaborate with healthcare providers, physicians, and clinical staff regarding practice and patient needs
* Provide age-specific, individualized patient care and act as patient advocate
* Required certification: Registered Cardiac Sonographer through ARDMS or CCI (R.D.C.S. or R.C.S.) preferred, with registry required within 1 year
* Required certification: BLS (Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider) current certification required or to be obtained within preliminary employment period
* Must maintain knowledge and competency in echocardiography as set forth by ARDMS and/or CCI credentialing organizations
