Opportunity:
RN - Labor and Delivery
Job Details:
* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* 36 hours per week with rotating shifts
* No on-call responsibilities
* LDRP model
* Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience required
* Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
* Must have EPIC experience
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring
* Current RN license in state of practice required
* Perform physical and psychosocial assessments of patients with consideration of age, cultural differences, and support for fetal demise
* Initiate and manage multidisciplinary, goal-oriented care plans for patients in collaboration with the healthcare team
* Demonstrate clinical judgment in managing perinatal emergencies including crash C-sections, precipitous deliveries, and shoulder dystocia
* Assess fetal and maternal well-being, amniotic fluid status, vaginal bleeding, and recognize and manage abnormalities during Labor and Delivery
* Effectively manage pain control in laboring patients and support alternative pain control methods when appropriate
* Assist with epidural catheter placement and monitor fetal and maternal status during and after medication administration
* Circulate for C-sections as needed
* Educate patients and families throughout all stages of the perinatal and postpartum periods
* Supervise and delegate care responsibilities to ancillary personnel within their scope of practice
* Complete accurate and timely documentation of all nursing care provided

The Labor and Delivery unit operates under an LDRP model, supporting patients and their families through antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages of care.
