Opportunity:

RN - NICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with options for day shift (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM) or night shift (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
* Every other weekend rotation required, with occasional back-to-back weekends possible but rare
* Block scheduling possible but not guaranteed
* No on-call responsibilities
* Minimum 2 years of Level III-IV NICU experience required
* Travel experience strongly preferred; first-time travelers will be considered
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP
* Washington state license required
* Respiratory support for ventilators required; tracheostomy experience highly preferred
* Skills required include: g-tubes, NG/OG, NCPAP, UAC/UVC management, PICC lines, medication administration, care plans, and discharge to home
* Care for patient types including prematurity down to 22 weeks gestation, RDS, high-risk deliveries, feeders/growers, and NAS
* Preferred experience with surgical patients and HIE (Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy)
* EMR system: EPIC
* May occasionally float to ER to act as a sitter, but rare
* Any scrub color acceptable

Facility:

This 152-bed Level II children's hospital is home to a Level IV NICU, the second highest designation in the state, featuring 70 NICU beds with a typical census of around 50 patients. The NICU offers private rooms and is part of a pediatric hospital attached to an adult hospital, with high-risk labor and delivery services on site. The facility also manages overflow of Level II Nursery for feeders and growers, providing a comprehensive and advanced care environment for neonatal patients.
