Job Details:

* 3x12 day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
* Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
* Travel experience required - first time travelers will not be considered
* Must be able to circulate for C-sections
* Must be able to perform sterile vaginal exams
* Experience in large hospital settings highly preferred
* Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate; AWHONN Advanced preferred (NCC EFM Certification accepted in place of Intermediate AWHONN)
* Charting system: Epic
* Scrub color: Navy Blue for RNs; scrubs provided for L&D
* Free parking available
* Patient population includes neonates and adults
* Conditions treated include labor, preterm labor, hypertension, multiples, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, fetal anomalies, IUFD, pyelonephritis, and diabetes
* Special procedures include Cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, vaginal deliveries, and version
* Required skills include antihypertensives, assistance with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, magnesium sulfate therapy, insulin drips, external fetal monitoring, and recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
* Weekend scheduling may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs
* Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered
* Travel pairs will not be considered
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO requests must be submitted at time of submittal
* Facility has the ability to call off once per pay period (2 weeks)
* Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years, completed during the compliance process and prior to start
* 72 orientation hours required

The facility supports a very high-risk Labor & Delivery unit that cares for a wide range of pregnancy diagnoses and offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support services. The hospital utilizes Epic for charting and provides a well-resourced environment for experienced Labor & Delivery professionals.
