Opportunity:

RN - High Acuity Float Pool

Job Details:

* Night shift position in a High Acuity Float Pool
* 3 weekend shifts required per schedule
* Holiday requirements apply
* No on-call or standby requirement
* Self-scheduling available
* Float pool includes: Critical Care Unit, Observation, Med Surg, General Surgery, Ortho Surgery, Short Stay Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Telemetry, and Progressive Care
* Nurse-to-patient ratios follow standard AACN CCU staffing: 1-2 patients depending on acuity, may have up to 1-3 for lower acuity assignments
* Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; high acuity experience preferred
* EPIC experience required
* Prior float experience required (float pool shifts, other facilities, and/or floating to other floors/units)
* Must be able to titrate drips including Epi, Norepi, Dobutamine, Propofol, Esmolol, Hydromorphone, Midazolam, and CIS
* Experience with ventilators, high flow oxygen, BiPAP, and CPAP required
* Phillips monitors used; RNs are required to read strips
* Charting system: Cerner
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
* Washington or Compact nursing license required
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* BSN not required
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks

This acute care facility operates a robust High Acuity Float Pool spanning multiple specialized units, including critical care, surgical, neurology, oncology, telemetry, and progressive care. The facility provides a comprehensive orientation program including General Hospital Orientation, unit-specific modules, and on-unit training to ensure contractor success. The organization maintains high standards of patient care with dedicated charge nurses and house supervisors who support clinical staff without taking patient assignments.
