Opportunity:

RN - Pediatrics

Job Details:

* Patient ratios of 4:1 for med/surg patients
* Day shift and night shift positions available with 4-6 nurses per shift
* CNC-free environment preferred
* Unit capacity ranges from 14-22 beds with staffing dependent on acuity and census
* EMR system used is Meditech
* Procedures performed on unit include cleft palate repair, appendectomy, chest tube management, lumbar punctures, seizure management, and non-invasive cardiology
* Services available for neuro, ortho, general surgery, and thoracic cases including thoracotomy, thoracoscopy, and pectus bar implants
* No neurosurgery, stroke care, or removal of foreign body from airway performed on unit
* Floating may be required to NICU level 1 or 2 only
* 4 weekend days required every 4 weeks
* No on-call responsibilities
* Scrub color required: royal blue
* Required certifications: BLS, PALS
* Preferred certifications: ACLS
* Collaborative and supportive team environment where all staff assist one another

Facility:

This facility operates a dedicated pediatric unit located on the 5th floor of the west tower, equipped to handle a wide range of pediatric medical and surgical cases. The unit maintains a strong focus on collaborative, team-oriented care and supports a variety of specialty services including neurology, orthopedics, general surgery, and thoracic procedures. The department is designed to provide comprehensive care for pediatric patients in a supportive environment with a full team approach.
