Job Details:

* Night shift position working 3x12s or 4x12s from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* Patient ratio of 1:4-5 for adults and geriatric patients
* May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs
* 2 years of experience required, travel experience required
* First-time travelers not accepted
* South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Telemetry competency required
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Charting system: Epic
* Free parking available
* Experience working with special equipment including Bipap, Cardizem gtt, Amiodarone gtt, Cardene gtt, and Nitro gtt (not for chest pain)
* Patient diagnoses include respiratory, cardiac, and neurological conditions
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
* Block schedule requests may be submitted for approval prior to assignment but are not guaranteed
* Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* After 2 call outs without a documented medical reason per contract, contract may be considered for cancellation
* Attendance at staff meetings is required

Facility:

This facility is a community hospital with 97 staffed beds, offering a comprehensive Neuro/PCU unit with 14 beds and a daily census of 14 patients. The unit provides strong interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and is equipped to handle a wide range of neurological, cardiac, and respiratory patient diagnoses.
