Open Position: RN - Med Surg Tele

Opportunity:

MS/Tele RN

Job Details:

* Work 4x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* Patient ratios of 1:6-1:7
* Float required to like units with like patients to meet facility needs
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Patients include adults and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* 2 years of experience required
* Travel experience required - first-time travelers not accepted
* South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
* Med/Surg experience required
* Telemetry experience preferred, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
* Must be comfortable with skills including blood product administration, central line care and management, heparin protocols, peripheral line care, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, wound care, and telemetry monitoring
* Block scheduling approval can be requested prior to assignment but is not guaranteed
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of submission
* After 2 call outs per contract without a documented medical reason, contract may be considered for cancellation
* Must complete all assigned modules prior to start date
* Attendance at staff meetings is required
* Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams

Facility:

This is a short-term acute care hospital with 97 total staffed beds. The facility supports a collaborative care environment with robust interdisciplinary services including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The unit consists of 12 beds and maintains a daily census of approximately 11 patients, with a focus on providing high-quality medical and telemetry care to adult and geriatric populations.
