RN - Labor & Delivery / Obstetrics

Job Details:

* Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certificate required
* Valid Ohio nursing license required
* CPR certification required
* Associate degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
* Previous registered nursing experience preferred
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient using the nursing process
* Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge
* Document nursing process thoroughly, concisely, and accurately
* Administer medications and perform treatments in a safe and accurate manner
* Implement physician orders as written and notify physician of pertinent observations or changes in patient status
* Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care
* Direct and delegate tasks to nursing assistants in a professional manner
* Must be able to manage urgent situations calmly and communicate empathically with patients
* Strong interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills required
* Ability to handle multiple priorities and make independent decisions
* Position involves heavy work, requiring exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and frequent patient handling activity
