Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac ICU

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
* Self-scheduling with schedules made approximately 6 weeks in advance, subject to manager review before finalization
* Every other weekend requirement with potential holiday shifts as needed
* First to float to telemetry or med/surg units as needed
* 30-bed Cardiac ICU unit with 1:1-2 patient ratios (90% of the time will be 1:2 ratio)
* Must have recent experience with fresh open heart patients
* Must have experience with mixed ICU patients
* Telemetry, L&D, Emergency, and Critical Care RNs will take a proctored Dysrhythmia Test on-site on day one - this is a PASS/FAIL test
* 1 day of unit-specific orientation provided
* EMR system: Cerner
* GE telemetry monitors used on unit
* Ventilator experience required
* Hospitalist on-site 24/7
* Respiratory therapy available 24/7
* Pharmacy available 24/7
* No IV team or nurse aides available on unit
* Scrub color: Navy
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or up to 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* PALS preferred
* Trauma Level 2 facility
* Acute care setting
